It will surprise you that more than 80 % of
Car Sales are based on how the Car’s body looks. Boys find their Mojo and Girls
drool over the design and class of a car whereas office goers then think of
their reputation and pocket depending on car size etc. Yet, in most cases, it
is only after we buy the car, we understand its maintenance, upkeep and most
important essentials to keep it up to date.
One of my old contacts bought a new car right
out of the showroom and was so handsomely inclined due to its looks and
advertised features that he paid a premium over the actual price just to get it
7 days in advance than the actual delivery date.
The moment I sat in the car, the feel was
terrific as it’s a very reputed and trusted Indian brand. And we as Indians
trust Indian products and companies a little more. However, it was only
disclosed half an hour later to the discussion that he disclosed that there were a
few companies fitted features out of which a couple of them were defected or not
correctly installed. As much as I urged him, he wouldn’t contact the company
because of his trust and thinking he would not take the hassle of follow-ups
for something, I thought he deserved and paid for already.
That was the moment I thought, how
confident we Indians are on the know-how of our very own cars and their parts
with maintenance. Even while going to Service station for servicing and
maintenance, we rarely ask for bill details and try to find actual market cost
of the products which are fitter by the service station leaving behind a big the gap amongst Consumer and the spare parts
shop.
On-road, we mostly notice restaurants,
garments shops, electronics shop or even chemists, but seldom do we ever notice
a spare parts shop thinking. Why would I ever need them?
While driving, or even if we are using any
vehicle for traveling, it is not just essential to know the backup of the worst-case scenario but also important that we stay prepared for it.
The quality of such important products are
such a need of the hour since if we look at it and can’t judge what’s the right
piece for our car according to price and quality, how will we trust it ordering
online without knowing who is selling us what and how.
Do it yourself repair tips
Automobiles are our lifeline in today’s
scenario. We know how to drive a vehicle and park it. Yet, day by day we are
getting more complacent towards keeping our vehicles healthy by ourselves. As
users, we end up paying the heavy amount only on things we can do by ourselves. All
it would take is a few minutes and focus on basic important things.
Puncture
The most common halt in our smooth ride is
when the vehicle gets punctured. And then we are
looking for some assistance
who can help us get through the pain. Yet are we aware most vehicles have a
self to-do puncture kit where it is easy and less time-consuming to get the
puncture done by yourself and keep moving ahead. Imagine you’re stuck in the
middle of nowhere and your vehicle can’t move with Stepney o of air. In this
case, it is beneficial to keep along with a compact air pump as per convenience and
a self to-do puncture kit and keep moving ahead towards your destination.Lubricants and coolants
Have we kept a check ourselves onto which lubricant is best for the vehicle type we drive? It is not an out of syllabus question. In fact, ask an expert, and they are always happy to share knowledge for your benefit. Always keep the checklist ready for the time table repair/maintenance of your ride and know definitely which brand and product works best for your car and always be ready before someone has to tell you to do so.
Lack of faith/trust
There are
many companies these days selling Automobile products online. Yet, I ask where
to go if the products give up in a short span of time. The problem might not be
like any other industry since the brands are not recognized and onto the
biggest replacement market arguably in the whole world, the products can be
fitted into our vehicle and might give up when least expected and
prepared. In some cases, the danger might be life-threatening.
Return policy
Most online
companies give parts at short period return policy. It means the trust is
already low and if you read the return policy carefully deeply, there are points
which you might not agree with yourself because the platform itself doesn’t
take the responsibility of the products since it can result in grave danger
like situations.
No personal connection
When
ordering online, there’s no connectivity or personal care or connection from a
vendor to a consumer. Thus, it results in short term trials and the disconnect
between consumer and provider.
